YalePressWiki is a wiki project with the mission of creating a free collection of books to which anyone can contribute through comments, summaries, and links.

Several authors have teamed up with the Yale University Press to create wiki and PDF versions of their books, available online for free. These books are provided under a Creative Commons License.

The wiki version of each book is intended to allow reader interaction and contributions through linking, editing, summarizing, and discussion on Talk pages. A PDF version of each book is also available simply for easy and immediate download in a highly readable format.

We have found accessibility brings readers to the web site, encourages interest and enthusiasm, and does not interfere with sales—if anything, it boosts sales and offers another access point for those who wish to use the book as a readily available reference.
